Jon is the Joint Head of the Singapore Joint Law Venture, Pinsent Masons MPillay LLP. His practice focuses on supporting international contractors involved in major building and infrastructure projects.
He provides legal support at all stages of projects, from advising on tender issues and drafting project documentation, to advising on legal issues (including health and safety and environmental) that arise during ongoing projects and resolving claims.
Jon has considerable experience of dispute resolution in the construction and engineering sector, including domestic and international arbitrations, mediation, adjudication and expert determination. He also has particular expertise in professional negligence actions for and against professionals in the construction industry.
Jim has been a member of the Club for six years and on the Council for four. Stepping up from being the Secretary last year, to now holding the position of Vice President, he is hoping to try and help promote the Club and expand its membership, so it can further deliver on its objectives of fellowship, charity and education.
As well as his efforts here in Singapore, Jim is also the Membership Secretary for Lighthouse Club International, the global branch of the Club which coordinates and liaises with over 50 existing LHC chapters worldwide, and helps in the establishment of new branches.
He is an Associate Director of BKAsiaPacific, a regional based construction consultancy practice, specialising in quantity surveying, dispute resolution and commercial and contract advice.
Outside of work and the LHC, his spare time is dominated by his wife and 3 young kids. What little time is left is enjoyed by being in the outdoors, travelling, photography and being a foodie.
I have been part of the Lighthouse Club (Singapore) council for the past 10 years. I am now the Honorary Secretary. I was serviced this club previously in various roles including Treasurer for two terms, Honorary Secretary and Auditor for one term.
I am working at Aircraft Support Industries as a Commercial and Contracts Manager overview all the Commercial and Contracts matters for the group as well as projects at Dubai, Morocco and Malta.
In my spare time, I play badminton and involve in social services
I have been part of the Lighthouse Club (Singapore) council for the past 5 years. I am now the Treasurer, in charge of the club’s finances in Singapore. I am also Singapore’s representative on the Lighthouse Asia Pacific Region Committee, which coordinates the activities of the various branches throughout Asia as well as the work of the regional education fund.
I am the Managing Director at Asgard Project Solutions, a boutique consulting practice focused on project management, dispute resolution and the provision of expert witness services.
In my spare time, I race in international Olympic Distance and Ironman triathlons
First Officer (Publicity)
I have been part of the Lighthouse Club Singapore council for the past 5 years. My previous roles as a Council Member and Honorary Secretary.
I am now in charge of the publicity including maintaining the website and keeping our members up to date with the latest and greatest information about the Lighthouse Club Singapore!
I am working at McConnell Dowell in Singapore as New Business Strategy and Marketing Executive.
In my spare time, I enjoy socialising, networking, muay thai, Brazilian Jujitsu, playing bad golf and spending time with my pug 🙂
Second Officer (Welfare)
Sean is currently the Welfare Officer on the Lighthouse Club Singapore Council and is in charge of identifying individuals and families in need and managing financial assistance from the Lighthouse Club’s benevolent fund.
He is a lawyer with Pinsent Masons MPillay where he advises on infrastructure, energy and construction projects, with a particular focus on international arbitration and advising on risk management during project delivery
Prior to starting his legal career he worked as a lifeguard – where he performed many daring rescues in the shallow end of his local swimming pool – and also as a professional rugby player.
Third Officer (Events)
Cheryl has recruited exclusively within the Construction industry since 2011 and leads Amida’s Construction division incorporating Project, Construction and Cost Management. She has extensive recruitment experience and has focused on delivering the highest quality of service to her clients. Her client base includes a wide array of firms, ranging from consultancies, developers, construction companies and large global corporations.
Cheryl has been a member of the Lighthouse Club for the past 2 years and has more recently helped with the delivery of the quarterly Lighthouse Magazine. She hopes to bring attention to the cause and the need for more donations.
I have been part of the Lighthouse Club Singapore for the last 4 years and a council member for the past 2 years. “Aliis cum Humanitate” is what keeps me wanting to do more with like minded folks, all trying to make life a little better for those who are suffering and cannot help themselves or their families.
I am a Consultant at Archer Recruitment, an expert search consultancy focusing in the construction, engineering, property, supply chain and oil & gas industries throughout the Asia-Pacific and North America regions. In 2016, we won “Best Newcomer” at the Global Recruiter Asia Pacific Awards.
When I do have some time to myself, I enjoy networking, running, cooking and singing. At all other times, I am Mum to a bunch of dynamic kids who mean the world to me.
I have recently joined Lighthouse Club and am taking care of approaching key sponsor prospects in the construction sector.
Work-wise, I am with Marking Services Inc., U.S.-based turnkey mechanical asset identification contractor, where I am in charge of onshore business development in South-East Asia.
When we have spare time, my Family and I enjoy exploring new travel destinations in Asia.

I am doing the Sales & Marketing for Slurry Treatment Plant (STP) locally and around the region.
My hobbies are Golf, Running and Mountain biking.
As a relatively new member of the Lighthouse Club I am honoured to be part of the council. Drawing more women in construction towards the club is one of my main aims.
I am the Managing Director of PLACE SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD., a company that promotes sustainable building materials like energy efficient windows and installs retrofit double glazing for sound control.
Singapore has now been my home for 10 amazing years, where I particularly enjoy the ease of travelling, running in lush greenery and the quest for the perfect Tom Yam.
Sandra is a Director at Driver Trett (Singapore) where she provides Expert witness services as a Forensic Delay Analyst for the Construction sector. Her experience includes buildings and infrastructure, rail, oil & gas and power projects both internationally and locally.
Sandra has over 16 years in the engineering and construction industry, starting out in an engineering office in the UK, then spending most of her time on site working on civil engineering and rail projects. Whilst on site, Sandra was an advocate for health & safety and environmental issues, volunteering to assist in these matters alongside her regular duties.
Sandra is delighted to be part of the Lighthouse Club team in Singapore, where she hopes to contribute to the welfare of the industry.
